[EN]Jerte Valley is at the eastern end of Extremadura-salmatino sector of the Central System. The fundamental parts of the system in the western sector, from east to west are the Sierra de Béjar, Peña de Francia and Gata. Are the links that form the link between the great mountain mass of the Sierra de Gredos and Lusitanian. The morphological distinction responds to realities: they are distinct parts by longitudinal blocks more or less raised.
