Accordingly, satellite capabilities in fisheries have been long emphasized. Applications of satellite remote-sensing capabilities for fisheries from 1987 to 1998 are reviewed, emphasizing the relationship between sea surface temperature and hake availability in Namibian waters. © 2000 Elsevier B.V.
