Balancing the diverse production systems of rubber smallholders with national objectives : résults of a daily survey over one year of 93 smallholdings in the Far South of Thaïland provinces of Patani, Yala, Narathiwat and South of Songkla

Bien que le système et la fréquence de saignée recommandés par le Département du Développment Agricole en Thaïlande soit en S/2.D/2, ils sont rarement appliqués. Afin de comprendre les objectifs et la stratégie des petits planteurs, une enquête a été menée dans 11 villages du sud de la Thaïlande. Il en ressort que les petits planteurs cherchent à s'assurer un revenu régulier, même faible, avec peu d'investissements initiaux afin de rembourser des emprunts, hypothéquer des plantations non officielles, accéder à un bien être social. L'objectif étant de maintenir voir d'améliorer leur niveau de vie
