CIMMYT is working over 2022-2025 with governments in Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Morocco, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe to help smallholder farmers achieve efficient and effective nitrogen fertilizer management. Efforts align with the Soil Initiative for Africa and a CIMMYT-led “SPRINT”, Climate-Resilient Soil Fertility Management by Smallholders, engaging 20 governments and international organizations, including the African Plant Nutrition Institute and the African Fertilizer and Agribusiness Partnership.
