Evaluación agronómica de germoplasma de chile habanero (Capsicum chinense Jacq.)

The agronomic potential of twelve Creole populations of habanero pepper (Capsicum chinense Jacq.) was evaluated in three localities of Yucatán, México, during the spring-summer cycle of 2008 and 2009 under risk conditions, in an experimental design of complete random blocks with three repetitions and experimental unit of 40 plants sown at 0.30 m between plants and 1.2 m between furrows. The data were analyzed per locality and through localities (combined). Even when the evaluation of the pepper populations was influenced by the trial's localities, the H-224 population stood out for its yield and agronomic characters, in addition to others that stood out from particular environmental conditions such as population H-238 in Conkal and H-247 in Ichmul, Yucatán.
