Los cambios de nombres en las especies, aunque pareciera que se realizan de manera injustificada, generalmente responden a un mejor entendimiento de la naturaleza. Se realizan con el fin de proporcionar, un marco de referencia para deducir la distribución de las propiedades orgánicas, ecológicas y evolutivas de las especies.
