2002 CGIAR Annual Report : Research for Sustainable Development: From Words to Action
CGIAR annual report covering the year 2002, incorporating the Group's financial report and a CD-ROM with the complete financial data. The annual report includes special messages from the CGIAR Chairman Ian Johnson and the CGIAR Director, Francisco Reifschneider. Also included are messages by Nitin Desai on the Year of the Summits, Jacques Diouf on the FAO-CGIAR partnership, and also by Hamid Narjisse on the new Morocco-CGIAR alliance. Stories from each CGIAR Center are also featured. All the reports throughout the document demosntrate how the CGIAR alliance is helping to fulfill the objective of the 2002 summits by mobilizing agricultural science to reduce poverty, foster human well-being, promote agricultural growth and protect the environment.
