System Review Follow-Up: Policy Research
Paper prepared by the Center Directors Committee at the request of the CGIAR Consultative Council on Recommendation 7 related to policy research in the third System Review, together with a TAC commentary. The CDC preferred not to start a systemwide initiative on policy research on policy, but to enhance existing mechanisms. The Council agreed. There was also agreement on greater emphasis on social and management sciences and policy research. TAC was also in general agreement.Agenda document at the CGIAR mid term meeting in May 1999, discussed under the heading of Consultative Council Propositions on Science.
