Frijol (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)

A methodology to describe quality and quantity characteristics of bean var. is presented. A complete list of data that should be taken is included and each item is explained. Data are classified according to the growth stage in which they should be taken: seedling, flowering, pod fill, physiological maturity, and at harvest. Other data include the reaction to diseases and pests, way of consumption, and var. that most resemble the described characteristics. Model formats for data recording are included as well as guidelines and requirements for bean seed production. (CIAT)

(CIAT) Se presenta una metodologia para la descripcion de caracteristicas cualitativas y cuantitativas de var. de frijol. Se incluye una lista completa de los datos que se deben tomar y una explicacion de cada uno de ellos. Los datos se clasifican segun la epoca en que se deben tomar: en estado de plantula, en el momento de la floracion, al inicio del llenado de vainas, en el momento de la madurez fisiologica y en el momento de la cosecha. Ademas, otros datos incluyen reaccion a enfermedades y plagas, consumo y var. que mas se asemeja en determinadas caracteristicas. Se incluyen formularios modelo para la toma de datos y ademas las guias y requisitos para la produccion de semilla de frijol.
