EU-Chile agreement is signed
The EU-Chile Association Agreement was formally signed on November 18th. Its trade-related provisions will enter into effect as soon as the Chilean Congress has ratified the agreement. These provisions cover: free trade in goods; free trade in services; a wines and spirits agreement; a sanitary and phytosanitary agreement; rules on competition policy; rules on intellectual property rights; an effective dispute settlement mechanism.
