CTA Annual Report 1995
CTA has recently published a report of its 1995 activities, which differs from earlier reports in two respects. Firstly, whilst in previous reports the introductory paper was usually written by somebody invited by CTA to comment on general aspects of agriculture and rural development in ACP countries, this year's report opens with a Director's introduction entitled Information for agricultural and rural development: the changing horizons. In this paper, Dr Cooke discusses the current development environment and the evolving role of information. The paper also reviews recent events that are likely to influence the Centre's development in the coming years and outlines CTA's approach to strategic planning in the mid-term. The second change is that CTA's 1995 activities are reported 011 in the context of the Centre's specific objectives rather than the project-by-project approach of previous reports. The Director's introductory paper on information for agricultural and rural development is also available as a separate publication. Both this paper, and the complete 1995 report, are available on request from CTA.

Summary: | CTA has recently published a report of its 1995 activities, which differs from earlier reports in two respects.
Firstly, whilst in previous reports the introductory paper was usually written by somebody invited by CTA to comment on
general aspects of agriculture and rural development in ACP countries, this year's report opens with a Director's introduction
entitled Information for agricultural and rural development: the changing horizons. In this paper, Dr Cooke discusses the current
development environment and the evolving role of information. The paper also reviews recent events that are likely to influence
the Centre's development in the coming years and outlines CTA's approach to strategic planning in the mid-term. The second
change is that CTA's 1995 activities are reported 011 in the context of the Centre's specific objectives rather than the
project-by-project approach of previous reports.
The Director's introductory paper on information for agricultural and rural development is also available as a separate
publication. Both this paper, and the complete 1995 report, are available on request from CTA. |
