Databank for tropical trees

A databank on tropical and subtropical trees species has been established by the Sylviculture Department of the University of Wageningen. It is designed to help in the initial choice of species based on bioclimatic conditions and desired characteristics. References to research that could provide supplementary information are also indicated. For each of the 400 species included to date there is information on their taxonomy, common names, climate, soil, potential uses and growing characteristics.
