Los usos del suelo incluyen sistemas agroforestales con cacao o con banano, platanales y charrales. Se demuestra la aplicación de la metodología con un ejemplo de cacaotales con árboles. We present a methodology to rapidly estimate carbon stored in the biomass of trees and palms with trunks greater than 10 cm in diameter, trees with a diameter of less than 10 cm and in herbaceous vegetation in four land-use systems on indigenous farms of Talamanca, Costa Rica. The land uses included agroforestry systems with cacao or with banana, plantain plantations and fallows.
