Entre las variables que se contemplaron para esta investigación están la morosidad como variable dependiente, y como variables independientes estuvieron el destino del crédito, la tasa de interés, el monto del préstamo, la sucursal, las condiciones del préstamo y las condiciones climáticas, entre otras. Estos análisis fueron realizados a la cartera de préstamos no cancelados y a los préstamos cancelados entre los años 2015-2022. El análisis descriptivo arrojó que al momento de obtener la base de datos existían 7,239 registros de préstamo no cancelados, de los cuales el 29% están vigentes, el 1% están vencidos, el 1% han sido reestructurados. En adición a estos hubo más de 16,000 préstamos cancelados entre los años 2015- 2022. De este total de la cartera de préstamos, el 40, 24, 20 y 10% de los préstamos están dirigidos a vacunos de doble propósito, producción de leche, mejoras en finca y ceba de novillos, respectivamente. El modelo generado por el análisis econométrico arrojó que la probabilidad de incumplimiento en pagos varía en función de factores tales como la provincia donde fue colocado el préstamo, la robustez del plan de inversión, el historial creditico del cliente, las condiciones climáticas de la zona, la tasa de interés y el género. The objective of this research work was to identify the main causes of non-payment, and at the same time offer alternatives that help counteract delinquency, specifically in the loan portfolio to the bovine livestock sector. For this purpose, two types of analysis were carried out, one Descriptive and the other Econometric, which were carried out based on data from the national bovine livestock portfolio provided by the Agricultural Bank. Among the variables that were considered for this research are delinquency as a dependent variable, and as independent variables were the destination of the credit, the interest rate, the amount of the loan, the branch, the conditions of the loan and the weather conditions, among others. These analyzes were carried out on the portfolio of unpaid loans and loans canceled between the years 2015-2022. The descriptive analysis showed that at the time of obtaining the database there were 7,239 unpaid loan records, of which 29% are current, 1% are expired, and 1% have been restructured. In addition to these, there were more than 16,000 loans canceled between the years 2015-2022. Of this total loan portfolio, 40, 24, 20 and 10% of the loans are aimed at dualpurpose cattle, milk production, farm improvements and fattening of steers, respectively.
