Financial Support to Developing Countries to Face the Challenges Associated with Avian Influenza
This presentation discusses financial support mechanisms for developing countries to deal with Avian Influenza consequences. It examines potential impacts of the disease, reasons to offer international financial support, what to finance in the pre-pandemic phase and what to finance in the pandemic phase, mechanisms of financing, and available international resources, including the role of the IDB.
