Biodiversity Assessment of the Northern Somali Coast East of Berbera
A coastal biodiversity survey was undertaken on the northern Somali coast to establish the status of the marine resources in the region, threats to the biodiversity and appropriate measures for the sustainable use and conservation of the resources. It formed part of the IUCN Somali Natural Resources Management Programme, funded by the EC, which aims to improve the socio-economic well-being of the Somali people by enhancing the ecological sustainability of their natural resource use.
