The Southern California jack mackerel fishery and age composition of the catch for the 1962-63 through 1966-67 seasons
Commercial landings for the 1962-63 through 1966-67 seasons ranged from a high of 92.9 million pounds landed in 1962-63 to a low of 41.2 million pounds landed during 1966-67.The 1958 year class contributed 401,054,000 fish and127,207,000 pounds through the 9 seasons it was present inthe fishery. This was the largest number of fish contributedto the fishery by any year class since jack mackerel canningstarted in 1947. (30pp.)
