Present-day status of fisheries in the Azov-Kuban limans, the problems and prospects of their development
To analyze the fishing situation in the Azov-Kuban limans we have used our own field research data. Based on the fishery statistics presented by the Azov and Black Sea Local Authority, the analysis of commercial and reclamation fishing has been done. Fishing in the Azov-Kuban limans has a high economic potential, but the existing model requires a number of modifications aimed at improving both the environment and a more efficient use of reservoirs’ potentiality.
