Survey on bony fish catches in Gorgan Gulf

Fishing in Goroan Bay began on the first of Shahrivar 1379 (23 August 2000) and finishid at the year end of fishery Mordad 1380 (22 August 2001) continuhng for a year fishery nets caught seven species of benefish with two species reported being caught unauthorizediy controlling and counting unauthorizediy nets were done twice a week during the year with the result of 139734 unauthorizediy nets. Based on the biometrics of the fishes caught in research nets the number of various species was calculated. The of rate of fishing in CPUE (a stering of day net) research nets was 1.20 kg. The rate of unauthorizediy fishing in Gorgan Bay throughout the year was estimated as 167681 kg of the value CYPRINIDAE had the highest fishing rate of %28.2 (about 47 ton) , and Chalcalburnus chalcoides and GOBIIDAE with %0.4 (747 kg) the lowest , with Chalcalburnus chalcoides having a very little rate of fishing (17 kg). In addition , the rate of fishing in CPUE (a stering of day net) was estimated as 0.25 , 0.21 , 0.18 , 0.15 , and 0.07 kg for Liza saliens , Rutilus rutilus caspicus and CLUPEIDAE respectively. According the comprised %20.9 , %17.3 , %15.1 , %12.28 and %5.6 respectively of the total fishing in the Gorgan Bay. MUGILIDAE, which are found in two species in Gorgan Bay , comprised %35.7 of the total fishing: Liza aurata with %57.7, and Liza saliens %42.3. The average age of fishes caught in Gorgan Bay was estimated to be 4.7 , 4.68 , 3.81 , 2.96 , 4.41 and 3.75 years old for CYPRINIDAE, Liza aurata , Rutilus frisi kutu Kamenskii , Liza saliens , Rutilus rutilus caspicus , and CLUPEIDAE respectively.
