Искусственные рифы в прибрежной зоне Балтийского моря
Monitoring on the assessment of Furcellaria stock state in the coastal zone of the Eastern Baltic by the methods of submarine phototelevision survey revealed clear tendency to its decrease and also to decrease of number and quality of Baltic herring spawning grounds. The construction of additional surface of firm substrate, i.e. artificial reefs, which may be used for fastening of algae and invertebrates, for hydrobionts reproduction and sheltering may help to restore the coastal biocenosis and to normalize sea environment. The investigation of artificial reefs state showed that on the whole the overgrowth community was represented by Balanus, mussel, hydroids, polyzoan, macrophyte algae, i.e. it was close to the structure of bottom biocenosis on rocky grounds in the coastal zone of the Baltic Sea.
