A pera cv. Rocha (Pyrus communis L.) teve sua origem cerca de 150 anos atrás, em Sintra, Portugal. Por causa de suas qualidades, tais como polpa branca e suculência branca e suculência, foi rapidamente adotada pelos consumidores e, atualmente, tem grande aceitação.
