Use of seeds of Coussapoa asperifolia magnifolia (Cecropiaceae) by stingless bees in the Central Amazonian forest (Hymenoptera: Apidae: Meliponinae).

Stingless bees collect seeds and epicarp of fruits of Coussapoa asperifolia magnifolia to build up structures of their nests. Previous studies which state, that seeds observed in nests of stingles bees belong to fruits of Vismia spp. could not be confirmed.
