Análise espectral e a sua relação com características físicas dos solos do planalto do Oeste baiano.
ABSTRACT - This work aimed to correlate radiometric and physico attribute of Western Bahia soils. A spectral library of the Ferralsols, which are located on the Luis Eduardo Magalhães Western Plateau, was created. Three suborders were found: Yellow Latossols (LA), Red Latosols (LV) and Red-Yellow Latossols (LVA). The radiometric data depicted an increase of reflectance starting from that with more clay (LV) to the less clayey (LA and LVA). Also, absorption features smaller the 0.9 m were observed, owing to iron oxide presence, especially in the LV samples. Using red (RED) and near-infrared (NIR) wavelengths to the soils discrimination, only 50% correction was obtained. The integration of physico attributes, 100% discrimination of the soils was achieved. Based on the linear discriminate function, the RED and NIR intervals were the most representative in the classification of all studied soils. Beyond this parameter, Hue and Silt/Clay Ratio were determinant in the LA discrimination. Also, the physical characteristics showed a decrease of influence in the classification as decreased their values, in the following way LA, LVA and LV.
