O papel do saber tradicional da região Costa Verde/RJ para o conhecimento agroecológico.

Resumo: O artigo apresenta a discussão sobre o papel do saber das populações tradicionais na construção de conhecimentos que dão suporte a manejos sustentáveis de recursos naturais. Para tanto retoma o debate teórico conceitual sobre comunidades tradicionais, visando identificar, caracterizar as relações que essa categoria social estabelece com os recursos naturais, para avaliar a sua contribuição para manejos sustentáveis. O conceito de comunidades tradicionais foi revisitado à luz de estudo de caso na região da Costa Verde brasileira, localizada no Estado do Rio de Janeiro. As discussões travadas entre os atores que participaram do Fórum das comunidades tradicionais da região foram objeto de Análise sociológica de natureza compreensiva. A Análise qualificou a discussão e as interações entre comunidades tradicionais e atores sociais e o seu potencial para o fortalecimento de suas identidades e da articulação em redes agroecológicas. Abstract: The paper presents the discussion about the role of traditional communities? knowledge in building knowledge that supports the sustainable management of natural resources. In order to do so, it takes up the theoretical conceptual debate about traditional communities, aiming to identify to, characterize the relationships that this social category establishes with natural resources, seeking to evaluate their contribution to sustainable management. The concept of traditional communities was reviewed the light of the case study in the region of the Brazilian Green Coast, located in the State of Rio de Janeiro. The discussions between the actors who participated in the Forum of traditional communities in the region were the object of a sociological analysis of a comprehensive nature. The analysis qualified the discussion and the interactions between traditional communities and social actors and their potential for the strengthening of their identities and the articulation in agroecological networks.
