Functionally characterization of 19 terpene synthase (TPS) genes in the orange, doubled-haploid, Nantes-type carrot DH1 and comparison of tissue-specific expression profiles and in vitro products of their recombinant proteins with volatile terpene profiles from DH1 and four colored carrot genotypes.
