This dataset provide data for calibration and evaluation of the model Stics in the specific context of malagasy higlands with rice cultivar Nerica 4. Data include soil moisture and N initialization, fertilization applied (quality and quantity), cropping practices, data on rice biomass and grain, N in biomass and grain for two cropping seasons (2016/217 and 2017/2018) at Ivory station (19°33’18.90’’ lat. S, 46°24'53.83’’ long. E, 930 m a.s.l.).
