Proceso mejorado de esterilización para aumentar la tasa de extracción de aceite de palma.

The morphology of palm fresh fruit bunch (FFB) dismisses drying and solvent extraction techniques to retrieve the oil. The current milling process involving sterilization of FFB, clarification and purification of crude to result in crude palm oil (CPO) stays. OER values are dependent on the fruits. Sterilization determines the quantum of fruits from the FFB and conditions the detached fruits. Continuous attempts are been implemented to free all fruits from bunches, to ensure that fresh fruit fibers has the least oil content. Changes have also been made to hasten sterilization activities and to have provision for better cooked fruit for the subsequent oil recovery steps. The "horizontal" sterilizer technology has been left unchanged for years until very recently, hence forth with the incorporation of continuous sterilization process and the vertical and the spherical sterilizer set-ups. This paper attempts to dwell into factors to differentiate the effectiveness of the sterilization techniques and determine factors affecting OER.
