Generación de biogás por los efluentes de plantas de beneficio y su aplicación.

A brief overview for the implementation of a biogas project and the process of POME (Palm Oil Mill Efluent) anaerobic digestion Treatment for Biogas generation. Further the use of biogas as fuel fed to a micro gas turbine to generate power including the firing of the steam boiler with the excess biogas. The project is registered with UNDP / GEF for the sale of carbon credit. Objective for the biogas generation from POME and its application programme is to reduce the emission of carbon gas (Methane from POME) into the atmosphere. A viable project with several benefits for consideration. Further technical developments in the POME treatment and biogas generation plants would probably aim at producing plants requiring lower capital outlay while ensuring the best possible energy yields.
