Human Brain Stem Vessels [electronic resource] : Including the Pineal Gland and Information on Brain Stem Infarction /

This book provides an overall view of the vascularization of the human brain stem. The first part of the book concerns the superficial ramifications of the arteries and veins, their points of penetration into the nervous tissue or emergence from it and their corresponding territories of distribution into the brain stem. A special study of the vascularization of the pineal gland region is joined to this part. The sedond part describes the fine internal vascular network and its correlation with the brain stem nervous structure. Finally, the vascular territories are compared with MRI views of brain stem infarction. This book will be of interest for all who work in the field of neuroscience but particularly neurologists, neurosurgeons and neuroradiologists concerned with the vascular diseases in the brain. The vascularization nerves are a 'map'to endoscopic neurosurgeons.
