This paper discusses the main coffee berry borer (Hypothenemus hampei) control methods, particularly trapping. The Brocap trap developed specially for mass coffee berry borer trapping is described. The origin of the trapping technique and its advantages as a new opportunity for integrated pest management are also discussed.
