Controle químico da ferrugem (Hemileia vastatrix Berk. & Br.) em cafeeiros pelo uso de fungicidas cúpricos e sistémicos em diferentes modalidades de aplicacao :

It was studied in field conditions, at Patrocínio - MG, in the years of 1991/92 and 1992/93 the efficacy of protective (copper oxychloride 50 percent of metalic copper, 1,5 kg of a.i./ha, 3 and 4 applications in the period of December to March); protective and curative (triadimenol, 250 g a.i./ha, 1 application in January and copper oxycholoride, 1,5 kg of a.i./ha, 2 applications in March and April) and curative treatments (triadimenol 250 g of a.i./ha, 1 and 2 applications respectively in December and in December and February and triadimenol, 6,75 kg of a.i./ha + dissulfoton, 3,375 kg of a.i./ha). The least treatment was applied in the soil and the others by spraying the plants. The results showed that the treatments were generally effective on coffee rust disease control and the copper fungicide treatments presented higger yield responses attributed not only to coffee rust control, but by the control of another diseases and by the tonic effect of copper about the coffee plants.
