Benefit estimation model on Arabica coffee research

Research activity can be regarded as a production process. The output produced from its process is called technology. Unfortunately, to evaluate the benefits of a technology is still a problem. In 1953 Schultz proposed a model be used to estimate the benefits of the implementation of a technology produced from research activity which then had been improved by the researchers. The proposed models in the last decade of 1980 was more specific to the commodity and the market condition that controlled it. This paper is aimed to review a concept about the estimation model of research benefit on Arabica coffee. The model was based on the Arabica coffee market condition.
