Cooper levels in soils and coffee plant materials from robusta coffee growing areas of Kenya
Cooper was determined in soil and coffee plant materials from Robusta coffee growing areas of Busia and Siaya in Kenya. Soil samples were analyzed for EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) extractable and total cooper. While EDTA extractable copper ranged from 2 to 44 ugg-1, the total copper ranged from 10 to 110 ugg in both top and sub soils. There was found to be good relationship between total and EDTA extractable copper. Copper concentrations in branches ranged from 11 to 32 ugg while it ranged from 18 to 50 ugg-1 for the leaves, and 10.0 to 37 ugg-1 for the roots
