Variability in coffee, 3: Inheritance of flower number in Coffea congensis X C. canephora
Flower number per inflorescence, inflorescence per node and flowers per node were studied in C. congensis, C. canephora subvariety robusta, their F1, F2 backcrosses and progenies from backcross to robusta. The parents differed for all the three characters with higher number in robusta. F1, F2 B1 and B2 showed intermediate values, while progenies from B2 showed values nearer to robusta. Parent-offspring correlations and heritability for all the three characters were low
