Cultivo de Pleurotus ostreatus sobre bagazo de caña enriquecido con pulpa de café o paja de cebada
A strain of Pleurotus ostreatus was cultivated on sugar cane bagasse using coffee pulp and barley straw as supplements. Sugar cane bagasse gave poor mushroom yield because of its low nitrogen content and water holding capacity. Production of fruiting bodies was 288 g per 9 kg of fresh weight substrate, reaching a biological efficiency of 14.15 percent. Sugar cane bagasse supplemented with coffee pulp and straw showed higher yields and a biological efficiency of 96.96 percent and 65.05 percent, respectively
