Genotype-environmental interactions in coffee Coffea arabica L

Seventeen high yielding coffee, Coffea arabica L., selections at Jimma Research Centre were compared with each other for yield and components of yield over a range of environments for six years. Differences among cultivars for all characters evaluated were highly significant. There were highly significant genotype-environmental interactions for yield and components of yield. The implications of these findings in relation to the selection and release of varieties are discussed in the context of specific and general adaptability
