An assessment of the cup quality of the new disease resistant Coffea arabica cultivar Ruiru 11 in Kenya

An assessment of the cup quality attributes of a new disease resistant Coffea arabica cultivar Ruiru 11 was made by professional liquorers in the trade in Kenya. The bean and cup quality of cultivar Ruiru 11 was found to be similar to popular commercial cultivars SL28 and K7. The taste panels were also similar in the rating for raw quality and overall standard irrespective of cultivars tasted. These findings are in agreement with results reported earlier during the cultivar development
