Uma condenaçao geral: a transferencia da biblioteca do IBC
Following changes in the Brazilian government policy, responsibility for the IBC library has been transferred to the Fundaçao Museu do Café in Sao Paulo. Although the transfer is likely to assure a better preservation of the collection of more than 20 thousand titles, the move to Sao Paulo has been largely opposed by the staff and government officials. The President of the Centro do Comércio do Café, Carlos Calmon and Moreira Franco, the governor elected for Rio de Janeiro, have spoken against the transfer. (ICO.
