Conduite d'une pépiniére de caféiers Arabica :

Recommendations are given on nursery management of arabica coffee in Kenya. Nurseries should be located at altitudes not exceeding 1830 m. The beds should not be wider than 1.5 m. The seeds are germinated in heavily shaded sand beds. The seedlings remain in these beds until the cotyledons are unfolding. The growing of seedlings in polybags is strongly recommended. Regular removal of the seedbed sand and watering with a 0.5 Cu solution is recommended against damping off. From the 6th month onwards, seedling should be sprayed at 4 to 6 week intervals with a 0.5 solution to prevent outbreaks of brown eye spot (Cercospora coffeicola) and leaf rust (Hemileia vastatrix).
