Studies on the rooting of invigorated sucker cuttings of coffee
Studies on the rooting capacity of invigorated sucker cuttings of coffee (Coffea canephora Pierre cv. S. 274) carried out at the Central Coffee Research Institute, Balehonnur, indicated the superiority of invigorated shoots in rooting. Plants beheaded at 0-45 cm from ground level produced suckers which recorded 90.37 per cent rooting. Besides, planting of cuttings during August obtained from plants beheaded during April recorded highest per cent (71.47) of success
