Field evaluation of some insecticides for the control Mericserica oberthuri, a pest on coffee
Three insecticides, Folidol 2 dust, Lindane 20 EC and Thimet 5 G. were tested against adults of Mericserica oberthuri which are often found in the soil. In the first trial Thimet was found to be more effective than the other insecticides. In the second trial the effectiveness of Thimet was confirmed. A dose of 20 g of Thimet per plant gave effective control of the beetle
