A new root rot of coffee in India

During an examination of diseased coffee plant material in the Central Coffee Research Institute estate, a new root rot disease of coffee was noticed. Low soil pH and high temperature were found to be predisposing factors to the disease. The causal agent was identified as Cylindrocarpon tenue Bugn. This is a new record
