Cocoa
The economic importance of cocoa needs no emphasis: current production is around 1.6 million metric tons per annum, currently valued at about two billion pound sterling. This article reviews the changing pattern of world production; new techniques of cultivation and processing; and the prevention and control of pests and diseases.
