Five insecticides were evaluated for their effects on diptera, hymenoptera and arachnids generally considered as parasites and/or predators of cacao pests. A randomized block design of five treatments and five replicades was used. Each plot covered on area of 2.500 m2 in which 10 cacao trees were labeled. The results showed mortality rates in decreasing order of toxicity in the following percentages: carbaryl 7.5 percent (60.4 percent), fenitrothion 1.5 percent (43.4 percent), hexachlorocyclohexane 1.5 percent (43.0 percent), etrofolan 4.0 percent (34.8 percent) and trichlorfon 2.5 percent (21.0 percent)
