Estimativa do fluxo de radiacao global no Centro de Pesquisas do Cacau e áreas circunvizinhas

To determine constants a and b in the modified Angstron equation, records of daily solar radiation and sunshine hours for 1973, 1974 and 1975 over Cacao Research Center, Ilhéus, Bahia, Brasil were analysed. There was no clear trend in the variation of monthly values, however annual values were more consistent, the average for a being 0.27 and b was 0.37. the sum of a + b can be used to evaluate the coefficient of transmission of atmosphere, the value of which is normally 0.82. The value for the southeast of Bahia is 24 percent less than normal, and is consistent with that for the cacao growing areas of Africa.
