Custos de producao de cacau: comportamento dos custos padroes em Setembro de 1987

The year of 1977 records the highest international cacao prices in the history. Immediately the prices had gone down. So, CEPLAC defined policies aiming the cacao cost of production diminution and the cacao production cost monitoring. This paper presents the methodology which is used, the remaining problems, proposing study the evaluation of technology performance from the point of view of costs, relating variables like profitability, technology, yield and production costs, applying it to September, 1987. Criteria for economic evaluation of some technologies employed on cacao are defined as well as of one isolated agricultural technique or practice. One intends that the proposed methodology be used quarterly both on the standard costs, as one does nowadays, and on effective costs, which would be desirable.
