Relación de los coleópteros Xyleborus sp. con la infección por Ceratostomella fimbriata
Attempts made in the laboratory failed to transmit the cacao disease caused by Ceratostomella fimbriata by means of Xyleborus spp. collected from diseased trees and confined in glass tubes on branches of disease-free trees. Coleoptera of the genus Xyleborus possibly have no fundamental importance in the development of the disease but could act as occasional vectors. Further studies are suggested.
