In the first part a study is made of the techniques for the rehabilitation of old plantations, as practised in the Ivory Coast. The second part is devoted to replanting trials. One chapter deals with the results obtained in the selection of vegetative material and to the present orientation of the research work. After a brief summary of the experiments in progress, the conclusion stresses the indispensable nature of a framework for the success of the operations
