Características dos estratos arbustivo e arbóreo do distrito federal
This is a study about structure and floristic composition of cerrado vegetation in the area of Distrito Federal (DF). It were considered the three predominant units of forms: "cerrado" (sensu stricto), "campo cerrado" and "campo sujo". The following conclusions were obtained: a) all analized characteristics, with exception of herbaceum cover, increase from "campo sujo" to "cerrado", as physiognomic and in floristic composition; b) the foliar mass of "cerrado" is greater than "campo sujo"; c) the transition between "cerrado" and "campo cerrado" is imperceptible; d) in the three units the common species are Erythroxylum suberosum and Ouratea castaneifolia; in the "cerrado" and "campo cerrado", Kielmeyera coriacea, Ouratea castaneifolia, Erythroxylum suberosum, Qualea parviflora, Qualea grandiflora, Caryocar brasiliense, and Byrsonima coccolobifolia; in the "campo sujo", Erythroxylum suberosum, Piptocarpha rotundifolia, Ouratea castaneifolia, Davilla elliptica, and Erythroxylum tortuosum.
