Composicao estrutural e quantitativa de uma floresta secundária do norte catarinense
The data for this research came from a well-preserved secondary forest, located in the north plateau of Santa Catarina, county of Tres Barras. The objectives were the study of the structural composition by searching the sociological indexes, and quantitative composition by estimating the main dendrometric parameters, and their distribution by diameter classes for the most frequent species. The results showed the occurrence of 43 tree species with DBH above 19 cm, and that the Araucaria angustifolia participated with 80 percent of the volume, 64 percent of the basal area, and 49 percent of this forest's number.
